Bagging School?

Dear Kroger Bag Boy,
Although i am very grateful for your services when you actually come to my checkout lane, today i am very disappointed in your service. You clearly see that i have a barely 2 year old, happily (and this is big if he's still happy in the checkout lane) strapped into my buggy. WHY OH WHY do you feel it necessary to put ALL my groceries into a different cart? So naive me, i think you will escort me to my car and be a gentleman since i now have TWO buggies - one for kid and one for groceries. But, damn if you just turn around and don't say a word; don't even offer to take the groceries out. So i proceed to move my 2 year old to the packed buggy while you remain with your back to me. A very polite, lovely 50-something man obviously notices, and offers to push the now-empty-buggy to the cart area. I have a two year old who doesn't want to get into the full buggy because he was content in the OTHER buggy!
Now, skip ahead 2 minutes, and as i load my groceries - BY MYSELF MIND YOU - into the back of my car. . . i notice that you have been so kind as to put 5 boxes of macaroni and cheese in the bag ON TOP OF my bread. Then i notice that you have been even sweeter and put TWO cantaloupes in the bag with my green grapes!!!
Seriously, it doesn't take a genius bag boy! So, i will happily pay $100 for you to attend bag-boy school if they offer it, or better yet, next time, DON'T TRY TO HELP ME! Thanks but no thanks for your services today!

Sincerely,
One Angry Shopper!

Happy Half Birthday, Griffin!

Griffin is never in school for his real birthday, so in 1st grade we started celebrating his 1/2 birthday at school. Cupcakes in 1st grade, cookie cake in 2nd grade, and this year he requested cookie cake again, but due to a lack of time to order a cake, we agreed on double doozies . . .made by mom! Check out these YUMMY treats that are going to school with Griffin tomorrow:

Chocolate, white chocolate chip doozies!

Life With Griffin!

Since i made a post just for our Molly, now it's Griffin's turn. He and a friend are in the keeping room playing Guitar Hero World Tour. I hate video games. I LOVE this video game. Every song - i love, from years ago . . . all captured right here, while i'm cooking i can sing, sing, sing! Here's the conversation i hear as the two boys start dueling with a new song:
G: Man, Dude, We're at a maternity party!
Me: A WHAT?? A maternity party??? What are you talking about?
G: You know, whatever that thing Daddy was in . . . ??
Me: You mean, "FRATERNITY!!!!!"
LOL!

Life With Molly

In a nutshell, this is what it's like to live with Molly:
Preparing dinner, Molly is having salad, and she knows this, as this is the "vegetable" she requested.
Jeff: What kind of dressing to you want?
Molly: SALAD dressing!
Me: Molly!!!!!!! Seriously??? Ranch, Honey Mustard, caesar. . . ?????
No joking. She was serious as serious is. LOVE her, but oh, she is so literal.

So i hear the question often, lately . . . I know, i know, no posts, no updates! I'm not sure what happened during the months of December and January, but life kept me away from the blogging world. Disney pictures STILL aren't on here; no Christmas, no Jeff's birthday, no New Year's Eve at the cabin. Where's all our fun??? I'm supposed to be doing this, since i don't keep up with scrapbooking. And now, even this isn't happening! I'm trying to get back to it. I'm still planning to put the past two months, in pictures, up on this thing. BUT, in the meantime, here's what's happened most recently.

Wednesday was C's birthday! SECOND birthday, might i add. And although some say it is the "terrible twos," this is an age i L-O-V-E! Instead of being a baby (which i do love that time, just no the sleep deprivation), now my Little C is a little human being, with thoughts of his own, things he prefers, and, don't forget, DOESN'T prefer. A mind that does the thinking on it's own. I do love the "terrible twos," but i'd rather think of them as the "terrific twos."

Anyhow, my poor little guy was sick on Wednesday for his big day, but it really didn't matter. Jeff was out of town, i had one of the busiest days of the year at work, and by golly, it was just a crazy, not-so-fun week. So, we've delayed the celebration (or truth be told, i just haven't planned it yet, so we're saying it's "delayed"). And another good thing about being 2, he has NO idea that we haven't had a "party" yet and he doesn't care!

Today was C's day to celebrate at school, so i made him cookies to share with his friends and this very special shirt, that i'm pretty sure, he'll wear more often, than not:

Don't you want one for yourself?
